Ahipoki Bowl
A welcome addition to our landlocked Valley and it will likely grow an extra star or two once we get more acclimated to the Poke phenomenon. Would like a little more guidance from the staff and maybe a few more garnish options to make it more substantial.

Tortilla Fish
The fish taco torch has been officially passed from Rubios. Tough to find better seafood at this price. Fresh and flavorful fish that can be dressed a variety of ways as well as a few other solid earth bound options. Also, a friendly staff that works hard to ensure your experience is up to par.

Tanzy

A perfectly safe corporate restaurant concept incorporating recent trends in Italian and making them palatable to the trend following yet unadventurous Scottsdale majority. Not destination by any means but a solid pairing with a movie next door.

Steak 44
The good folk behind the masterful Mastro's have created a steakhouse for the next generation. Yes, the meat is all expertly executed but the real treats come when you explore the supporting cast which are a clear step above the traditional steakhouse sides.

Angry Crab Shack and BBQ
Looking for a casual and reasonably priced spot to enjoy the splendors of the sea? This is your place. A great environment that many of the the better heeled local establishments would love to replicate. Only complaint is that we wish you'd get more flexibility to mix, match, or resize some of the bags.

The Gladly
Think of it as the Citizen Public House adapted to the more straight laced and corporate Biltmore crowd. Still has an incredible menu with the best salad known to man. The burgeoning Bernie Kantak culinary empire gets our vote for the best contemporary American in our fair city.

Cuttlefish
I sure hope the brave Ulysses ate this well when he was wondering around the Mediterranean. A great menu that fuses the freshest seafood with the finest Italian culinary traditions. A no-brainer for any happy hour short list.

Eddie's House
Eddie goes to great lengths to welcome you to his little nook in the neighborhood. That is a nice touch for sure but it is the food that ensures regular patronage. There are just enough things on the menu and the environment is comfortable enough to keep you from trying something new on a Thursday night.

Coconut's Fish Cafe
A tasty fish taco (ono and mahi mahi) that makes it easy to tolerate the very cliched Bob Marley inspired surf ambiance that permeates the place. One complaint. Come up with a sub $10 lunch option or two. This is a lunch heavy neighborhood and that is an important cost threshold for diners.
